Este proxecto iniciouse en 2013 a proposta da organización Ideas Tap que preparaba un obradoiro con diferentes fotógrafos da axencia Magnum en Londres. O tema proposto era fotografar e retratar a unha persoa que admiramos polos seus feitos ou por outras actividades da súa vida. Sendo honesto, teño unha profunda admiración por un puñado de persoas. Por desgraza non todos estaban dispoñibles e algúns outros simplemente non lles gusta que se fotografen e que a súa vida diaria se vexa alterada dalgún xeito. 
Finalmente escollín a Belén e Carmen, ambas exemplos vivos de amor e tenrura. Á idade de quince anos Belen ficou orfa. Deixou A Coruña, a cidade onde vivira toda a vida e mudouse a Madrid. Alí coñecería a Carmen, a irmá da súa avoa que xa tiña setenta e oito anos. Carmen encargaríase da educación e o mantemento de Belén. Máis tarde, de volta á Coruña, sería o momento para Belén de coidar de Carmen durante os derradeiros anos da súa vida. 

This project started in 2013 as a proposal from the organization Ideas Tap that was preparing a workshop with different photographers from the Magnum agency in London. The proposed theme was to photograph and portray a person we admire for their deeds or for other endeavours in their lives. Being honest, I have a deep admiration for a handful of people. Unfortunately, not all were available and a few others they just do not like being photographed and having their daily lives somehow altered. 
 Finally, I chose Belén and Carmen, both of them living examples of love and tenderness. At the age of fifteen, Belén became an orphan. She left A Corunna, the city where she had lived for all her life and moved to Madrid. There she would meet Carmen, her grandmother’s sister who was already seventy-eight years old. Carmen would take care of Belén’s education and maintenance. Later on, back in A Corunna, it would be the time though for Belén to take care of Carmen for the last years of her life.
